Located in the greater Toronto area of Ontario, the Wellington Halton Hills Federal Electoral Riding encompasses Halton Hills, Centre Wellington, Guelph-Eramosa, Erin and Puslinch and surrounding areas. The City of Guelph is it’s own Electoral Riding contained by the lower western area of Wellington Halton Hills.
The Wellington Halton Hills riding was created in the area redistribution of 2003 and was first contested in the 2004 election. According to the 2016 census, there were 120,981 people living in our riding, 61,161 of which live in Halton Hills. The Conservatives have held the seat for the past 15 years and their candidate is running for the sixth time. Elections Canada identifies Wellington Halton Hills with the Federal Electoral Riding code 35113. In the last election, 71.4% of the 89,653 eligible voters cast a ballot.
